Charlie Norwood Memorial Scholarship

Each semester, the Georgia State Society awards the Charlie Norwood Memorial Scholarship to a student living in Washington, D.C and interning on Capitol Hill. The Norwood Scholarship honors the life and legacy of Georgia Congressman Charlie Norwood.

C. Randall “Randy” Nuckolls Scholarship

Each semester, the Georgia State Society awards the C. Randall “Randy” Nuckolls Scholarship to a student living in Washington, D.C and interning outside of Congress. Created in 2015, the Nuckolls Scholarship recognizes the significant contributions of Randy Nuckolls as a former President and long-time Board member of the Georgia State Society.

Community Impact

Every year, the Georgia State Society gives back to the Washington, D.C. community. This includes the annual Wreaths Across America event, where members lay wreaths at Arlington National Cemetery.

Charitable Giving

The Georgia State Society is proud to support organizations that serve communities back home in Georgia. Through our annual events, we have raised funds for nonprofits including The Boys and Girls Club of America and The First Tee.
