Join your fellow Georgians and enjoy a winter getaway to Virginia Wine Country on February 23, 2012. We will be visiting Naked Mountain Winery, which offers a variety of wines for the tasting and a hearty lasagna lunch. We have a chartered bus that will be departing promptly at noon from the Federal Center Metro Stop (401 3rd Street SW, Washington, DC 20024). From there we will arrive at Naked Mountain to enjoy a private wine tasting of several varieties of wine. The tasting will be followed by a lasagna lunch, served with a glass of wine of your choice. We will then enjoy the grounds of the winery until the bus is ready to depart. Wine will be available for purchase at the winery. We will be returning to the Federal Center Metro by 6:00pm.
A little about Naked Mountain:
The winery has been in operation for over 35 years. It started with 4 rows and grew to 6 acres. They produce thousands of cases every year. Their Chardonnay has been served at the White House twice (once during a State Dinner hosted by President George H. W. Bush, and again at a meeting with State Governor’s held by President Bill Clinton). As new owners of Naked Mountain, Randy and Meagan, and the entire Naked Mountain family, look to honor the history of the winery while working tirelessly to ensure it reaches a new generation of passionate Virginia wine enthusiasts.
This is going to be a great event and we are only offering 33 tickets so it will sell out! This event is only open to those 21 and over and IDs will be checked prior to bus departure. At the winery, you will have your choice of meat or veggie lasagna. Please note your preference when buying your ticket. Lunch will be served after 2:00pm, so we recommend bringing a snack to enjoy on the bus. Snacks and drinks are allowed on the bus, but will not be allowed to be taken off of the bus when we get to the winery.
We're debuting a new event ticketing system with this event. If you have any issues purchasing your ticket, please contact us.
